Two cute pins from Soviet time: Buratino and the Wolf.

This Wolf is a character from the Soviet animated series „Nu, pogodi!“ (You Just Wait!). The series was created in 1969 and became a popular cartoon of the Soviet Union. The Wolf, commonly transliterated into English as Volk is initially portrayed as a hooligan who eagerly turns to vandalism, abuses minors, breaks laws, and is a smoker.

Buratino is the main character of the book „The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino“ by Aleksey Nikolayevich Tolstoy (based on the 1883 novel „The Adventures of Pinocchio“ by Carlo Collodi). Buratino quickly became hugely popular among children in the Soviet Union and remains so to this day. The story has been made into several films, including in 1959 and in 1975.
