This stylish retro telephone without roto dial used to be for conversations between offices or nomenclature cabinets. Instead, there is a knob and when the knob was being rotated, it gave a signal to the operator who then connected to the desired destination.
This phone was made in 1955 by the famous VEF factory in Latvia. VEF factory for many decade was the main producer of the electronic products – radios, telephones, cameras and others. I don't think the phone is still working. Suitable for home or office decor. A heavy device: more than 2 kilos! Would be a wonderful accent for urban style decor. You can used it in various art projects.
