Vintage Soviet retired jet airliner Tupolev, toy for kids aircraft prototype home decor, tin aircraft light blue decor toy for boy room gift

This used to be a tin toy for Soviet boys - a copy of the famous Tupolev Tu-144, the world's first commercial supersonic transport aircraft. Now it could be original home decor. By the way, this toy is very rare, pre-owned.

A bit of info about supersonic jet airliner Tupolev Tu-144: It was the world's first commercial supersonic transport aircraft (SST). It is one of only two SSTs to enter commercial service, the other being the Anglo-French Concorde. The prototype first flew on 31 December 1968 near Moscow, two months before the first flight of Concorde. In May 1978, another Tu-144 (an improved version, named Tu-144D) crashed in a test flight. The aircraft remained in use as a cargo aircraft until 1983.
